Wind Phone

"The wind phone is an unconnected telephone booth in Ōtsuchi, Iwate Prefecture, Japan." The installation invites visitors to have a one way conversation with loved ones who have passed away. The wind phone became open to the public after the 2011 earthquake and tsunami in the Tōhoku region.
